MY AI POLICY: INNOVATION AND INTENTION
 Because I value transparency and the health of our planet, I want to be clear about how and why I use Artificial Intelligence here.
1. THE PHILOSOPHY
I am a fan of what AI can do to simplify complex tasks and expand the boundaries of human creativity. However, I am deeply concerned about the environmental impact of generative AI, particularly its energy demands and water usage. My goal is to use these tools deliberately, not habitually.
2. WHEN I USE AI
I view AI as an assistant rather than a replacement for my own voice. I may use AI for:

Brainstorming & Outlining: Helping me organize my thoughts or get past writer’s block.

Refining & Editing: Checking for grammar or tone to ensure my message lands correctly.

Accessibility: Using automated tools to generate alt-text for images or transcripts for audio to ensure everyone can access my content.
3. THE HUMAN FIRST RULE
Every piece of content you read on this site has been vetted, edited, and approved by me. I do not believe in giving AI a task and copying and pasting. If an AI helps me draft a paragraph, I make sure the heart of the message remains authentically mine.
4. COMMITMENT TO THE PLANET
To mitigate the environmental concerns I have, I follow these personal guidelines:

Efficiency: I avoid lazy prompting. I aim for precision to reduce the number of compute-heavy iterations required.

Necessity: If a task can be done just as well manually, I choose the manual route to save on digital energy.

Support for Green AI: I keep a close eye on the industry and prioritize using tools from companies that commit to carbon neutrality and transparent environmental reporting.
